Also, what abundances would be high impact risks for existing business models and products/services. We understand why we innovate or, at least, why we should innovate.
What is happening today in terms of exponential technologies, new business models, changed need fulfilment, new actors, grand challenges and global shifts. We map out the movements that are not immediate but rather indications of big changes to come.
Where we make sense of the map. Considering the artefacts placed on the board we look for the unknowns, the valuable questions that are still unanswered, the complex challenges that promise large impact but offer no clear solution. New needs, new opportunities, old needs no longer being fulfilled or an opportunity to create an abundance where we now experience a scarcity.
Applying tools for creativity we generate ideas for how to act on the insights created with the focus of creating something new, unexpected and valuable. Making use of exponential technologies to design something truly exiting as well as describing how we set out to disprove our hypothesis with experimentation with the purpose of discarding solutions but staying on coarse towards the opportunity until it can be disproved with data.
